Fire Roasted Chicken

Thought we'd roast the chicken over a wood fire instead of the grill tonight. I had some hickory nut hulls that we soaked in water and added to the fire to add a little hickory smoke. After roasting we brought it in, smothered it with homemade BBQ sauce and I baked it for a few more minutes. Then it was shredded and enjoyed on a freshly bake sourdough bread with homemade mozzarella cheese oozing out the sides - MMMMM.
