Shooting through glass
My wife is extremely paranoid about peeping toms. I'm not. She has applied something -- soap? wax? -- to my dining room sliding glass door to keep people from looking in. This despite the fact that the only vantage point from which someone could possibly look in would be the roof of our next door neighbor. And, nothing worth looking at ever occurs in my dining room -- I don't even eat there.
But it does make a strange abstract pattern if you shoot through it.
