Native grass plugs and stone line the Lafayette River at a type of restoration known as a living shoreline at Granby Willow Wood Park in Norfolk, Va., on July 26, 2024. Beginning in 2018, the Lafayette Wetlands Partnership collaborated with the city of Norfolk on a plan to restore a long stretch of the park's eroding shoreline.
