Pyrrhuloxia or Desert Cardinal

Pyrrhuloxia, also known as Dessert Cardinal is a beautiful songbird found in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona (South Western US) and Mexico (Northern).

 

Since this bird is not found in the North East, I was hoping to photograph this bird during my recent trip to Rio Grande Valley, South Texas. Special thanks to Alan Murphy (alanmurphyphotography.com/) for helping me get this shot.
