Found my old 28mm non-AF f2.8 and tried it on the D40. Caught a cooperative subject chilling out here. Wonder when this lens was made. Nikon model 1420 from a thrift store for $12 (along with a 50mm 1.8 series e). It was attached to some camera that I gave to the cashier on my way out the door.
