When we went to the beach in Ribeira Grande I saw this lady sitting on the fence in the parking lot with a blank stare on her face like her body was there but her mind was elsewhere and she looked in need so I approached her and asked her if I could take a pic and she agreed and I gave her some money and when my kids and nieces saw this they also wanted to give her some money and her expression changed completely she started to cry tears of joy and kissed all of the children's hand. We talked for a couple of minutes and left but all the children were moved and wanted to see her again on the way back and give her some more money but unfortunately she was gone. It really was a touching moment and one I'll never forget !
