Chase Parthicus
A #TeamCP Romance Novel (Part 1/3) #valentinesday
Stranded in the middle of nowhere, a lonely city boy waits nervously at a rundown interstate gas station down south for his car to be fixed. An old Civic can only take so much after being driven aimlessly from Columbus to nowhere. He’d been running away after being dumped on Valentine’s day by his love — or at least he thought it was love. Not even sure why he hadn’t thrown the flowers away yet.
He checks his watch. It’s been 2 hours already! Looks across and notices the mechanic’s really takin his time. And damn, he looked good doing it too. The boy can almost see the glimmering Ohio river run down in beads of sweat along the the man’s exposed torso. Couldn’t understand much from his face since half was covered by that darn cowboy hat, but the mechanic’s hand was holding a large tool — just not one for fixin cars. The boy looks up and makes eye contact. Was that a wink? He offers the man an awkward smile. Little did he know that it wouldn’t just be a smile he’d be getting in return.
