Almost Dark
After catching IAIS 400 on a westbound (yesterday's photo) we headed into Joliet, naively thinking that we may be able to catch him going through the junction with the EJ&E at Rock Island tower. Well, that was rather stupid of us but we did catch a nice EJ&E train a few minutes after the IAIS job cleared. It was damn near dark by that point and this slide is a bit soft but I figuered that I'd queue it up anyway and share it here. The operator, who can be seen in the window of the tower probably thought we were nuts but we got what we came for, almost :) I lightened up the image a bit in PhotoShop. 8/1991 KR64
