Boeotian terracotta draped woman
Polychrome terracotta figurine of a standing woman, enveloped in a himation (cloak), leaving only her head bare. Many of these figurines feature the woman veiled with their himation pulled over their heads.
Visible pigments include blue, orangish-red, and pink (the himation is light blue, with a wide pink border), with a base of white slip. Her chiton (tunic) seems to have a darker color, or else a color has darkened over time, but it's difficult to tell what the original color was.
Greek, Boeotian, Hellenistic, ca. 3rd century BCE.
