Woolly Monkey
"This is a screen capture of a Woolly Monkey I caught on camera during my trip to the Peruvian Amazon last summer, as a travel opportunity attached to Kristin Wolf's CORE class, ""Life in the Amazon."" The monkey hung from the trees as our boat coasted underneath - what we didn't know was that these monkeys have a tendency to come down and snatch objects from weary travelers. We actually saw a small purse hanging in the branches nearby! The monkey came down near our boat and hung by its tail, before screeching incredibly loudly to indicate it was coming in. We all then clutched our cameras and belongings close as our guide quickly took as away. I'm sure glad my camera made it back to the States!"
