Volkenberg with a view to Erlabrunn and Staustufe (Barrage)

I was standing on the Volkenberg when I took the shot, looking over Erlabrunn, the river Main and its Barrage Erlabrunn.

 

The barrage was constructed in 1935. In 2012, a mortar granade from WWII was found in one of the emptied chambers.
