The setting winter sun glistens off the rear of the Bombardier R179 A train as it departs Beach 44th Street/Frank Ave and heads to Mott AveFar Rockaway in Queens. The train is running on former LIRR trackage which was purchased in the 1950's from the Long Island Railroad & converted to subway use by the city.
