Felt like I needed a good overhead view, and, since I can't take this shot myself... got it from maps.google.com
Next time I go back I hope to visit the Citadel (it's the green flower shaped thing in the bend of the river, apparently they use it to train their military now, but, still, it is (hearsay) supposed to be a really really old defensive structure.
The Strand is to the left of it, between the green "flower" and the Mures River, it's the little strip on the W to NW side of the bend.
Micalaca, where Mom lives, is across the river on the east side of the flower. That's the communist-style appt buildings in my shots. Mostly.
Downtown with the majority of the older buildings is the E-W street just across the Mures from the "flower." Not on the river side, but the next street.
I believe, but am not certain, that the little green arrow that Google placed is either more downtown, or the industrial zone.
