Light the Love
This was originally called, "Let There Be Light", but that was before I turned this into a really wild and wacky art piece- or at least, even MORE wild and wacky than it already was! (The original is below in comments.)
This shot was taken with my very first digital camera, back in 2006. At that time, I was just learning what you could do with post processing, and the weird effects were really exciting me! I used a Kodak editing program that came with the camera, and editing the image over and over, I amped up the color, but really increased the noise 1000%! Now, I'm finding that with some of the tools I have at my disposal ten years later, I can turn that noise into swirls of color, and add more interest with patterns and designs. Yes, it's weird, and I enjoy it!
Everyone wants to be a good photographer, and the truth is, there are thousands of them on here. For me, photography has become the canvas that I use to create something else, and the resulting art form has been fascinating to me. Yes, I can take a good shot now and then, but so can all of you! I get a lot more enjoyment out of seeing what I can do with a photo- especially a not so good photo- to make it become art. It will never be enough for me to click a button and be done with it! Natural can bore the socks off me, too, so this is how I play when I'm tired of "normal"! Hope you like it.
It's probably going to be about a month before I'll be doing too much interaction on here. The Memorial Day sale will be starting soon, and I will be busy, but I'll pop in as I'm able. Mostly, I'll be doing a piece here and there as I have time, and working. As always, I will catch up as I can!
