"Ramblings"
It has been a fair few months since I uploaded to my flickr photostream so its nice to finally have some pleasing images I`m happy with while also having a seasonal autumnal theme to them.
Plenty opportunities to get out and about with the camera late summer onwards while enjoying some of the welcome warm and sunny weather thats fallen over the weekends this autunm.
Rather than my usual solitary walkabouts I have enjoyed having my wife along for company for many of my outings over the last few months.
Its nice to share some of the knowlage I have picked up over the years while frequenting South Devon`s coast and countryside and also identifying many species of birds along with their calls and behavior etc.
A couple of weekends back we shared a sunrise to early evening autumn coastal watch on a very warm sunday down on the west side of Start Point.
We were treated to many good sightings of the kestrels peregrines and sparrowhawk hunting over and along the coastal cliffs during the day.
The grey seals were about in good numbers while we also had the blue finn tuna out at sea putting on a good show breaching on and off frequantly throughout the day.
Although I have had many oppertunites to use the camera for birding etc the morjority of the time I have been happy to have eyes on with the binoculars rather than having my face stuck to the back of the camera. So most of the images I have made during my time out have been quick half hearted record shots of the many wildlife spotted on the day so not realy images I wanted to upload on my photostream.
My wife and I made a trip up country for a few days visiting friends and family while also fitting in a days photo session with the hope of making some nice seasonal images with the deer.
I did not get the morning mist and fog that was forecast although there was some welcome dappled autumn sunlight to be had later in the day.
