The Swan of Tuonela - Ice Dreams 2/23

Floating effortlessly on dark waters, an ice swan guards the passage to the underworld singing a song of haunting beauty. So divine is the melody, that no Hero, even for love, could resort to take it's life. Sibelius' tone poem propelled this epic to new heights.

Comme suspendu au-dessus des eaux ténébreuses, un cygne de glace, gardien du monde des défunts, entonne un chant d'une beauté obsédante. Si divine est cette mélodie, qu'aucun Héros, même par amour, ne peut se résoudre à le tuer. Le poème symphonique de Sibelius confère à cette épopée toute sa grandeur.
