1948 Packard

We were enjoying a beautiful Saturday evening in the lovely town of Cheyenne, Wyoming, walking the grounds of the State Capitol. We noticed that in a parking lot across the street an informal car show was getting started. Hot rods and vintage pickups were pulling in, and among them was this beauty. I talked with the woman in the photo, and she told me that this car belonged to her grandfather, who bought it new and drove it around Rock Springs his entire life. She said that other than routine maintenance items, it is completely original, with no restorations. She was pleased to have her picture taken with the car. Another delightful chance meeting.
