Cape buffalo & calf (syncerus caffer caffer)

We were moving slowly towards a substantial herd of Cape buffalo when this cow and calf turned to look our way. It's always a thrill to see healthy herds of wild animals in The Okavango but also rewarding to pick out individuals, particularly calves which are often "covered up" in the middle of the herd.
