Validation.

Tonight was the night the winners would be announced for the latest Studio414 Photography contest and I'd been entering my photos for a few months now, after seeing an ad on Facebook. I'd tried all kinds of my favorite photos but never seemed to place with any of them.

 

Tonight that changed when I checked to see who the winners of this one would be. There in the Grand Prize slot was my Treeclipse photo! I couldn't believe I had not only been chosen as a winner but went straight to the top! Going from months of failed attempts to being recognized as having the best image of this run. After creating my own photography website and now winning my first contest I can leave my self-doubt behind and consider myself a 'real' photographer.

 

I really want to thank everyone who's taken the time to look at my photos, give their thoughts and comments, and even favorite a few of them when they find a certain one really striking. It means a lot to be appreciated in something I simply love doing, and I want to dedicate this to everyone that inspires me to take photos and continue to share my passion.
