Addington Highlands Public Library Re-Opening 2004
This photo taken August 5, 2004 marks the re-opening of the Flinton LIbrary. In this photo (L-R) Wilma Wood, Gordon Wood and Carolyn Hasler (Member of the Library Board).
The Libraries (Flinton and Denbigh) received a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation in 2003-2004. An exterior ramp and door were added to the Flinton Library. An interior ramp was added at the Denbigh Library. A new large print section was added at each location. The Libraries also received funds from the MInistry of Culture to operate a Community Access site and purchase 3 new computer and work stations. As a CAP site the libraries received funds to install a satellite high-speed Internet connection. Each location was open 10 hours per week. Total attendance at the kids program was 129.
