Know the Facts Campaign
U.S. Customs & Border Protection Commissioner R. Gil Kerlikowske and U.S. Department of State Acting Assistant Secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs Francisco Palmieri will discuss the “Know the Facts” campaign, which recently launched in Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. The campaign advises against attempts to illegally enter the U.S., and encourages individuals to “Know the Facts” and avoid embarking on the risky journey north only to be returned to their country. The campaign is designed to increase awareness of U.S. immigration policies and improved enforcement on the U.S. border, clearly and simply stating the facts behind U.S. immigration policies.
