Vatnajokull National Park

If you zoom in you can see the edge of the glacier. Vatnajokull National Park was established in 2008 and is the largest national park in Western Europe, covering about 13,200 square kms in area. The interplay of a large glacier and volcanism has created many, greatly varying landscape features which make the area unique.
