Golden Rain

How cool that just as I snapped this a breeze blew a bunch of Aspen leaves down from the tree tops!

The hike on West Chicago Creek travels through a dense Aspen and Lodge Pole Pine forest. The Lodge Pole's are the very straight and tall, skinny pines. The lower portion of the trail is relatively easy, but the terrain gets very rocky and steep as you progress. At the summit is an area called Hell's Hole, where you can see mountain peaks and valleys surrounding you. It's quite breathtaking! But it

sure is **** to get there!
