Leaf Cutter Bee 9715
Second cut series.
This shows the bee holding the leaf and cutting out a chunk, which she'll use in her nest. Leaf cutter bees are not social, like honey bees. Each female will create her own nest, usually in rotting or soft wood. She lines each cell of the nest with a piece of leaf, adds nectar and one egg.
