Equatorial Guinea / Guinea Ecuatorial - plane wreckage

Encountered while driving from Oyala/Djibloho to Rio Campo: this wreck I believe comes from the 2012 crash of Argentina-Alice Air plane travelling for the USA to Colombia via Africa, where a malfunction caused it to come down short of the Bata airport. Both passenger and pilot apparently survived.

 

My guide had a slightly different narrative, as did a guidebook, so I'd be interested in any input!
