Compton Verney: landscape and art
Rather overdue, but we made our first visit of the year to Compton Verney to see their outdoor sculptures and landscape exhibitions. It turned out to be quite a cold day (again...) and they were hosting a Mazda MX5 sports car event, which was obviously popular. This large sculpture is Standtune, created for the exhibition from local timber by Augustas Serapinas. A simple idea, somewhere between a fish skeleton and a stockade, it complements the landscape.
