272. BeAware.

I am petrified of breast cancer.

I watched it ravage my maternal grandmother. She died when she was 58. My own mother is currently 57.

 

In my mind, it's not a matter of "if" I get breast cancer. It's "when." And I hate that I think that.

 

 

On the plus side, I do not smoke. I am a vegetarian. I try to eat as naturally as possible. I hope all of that helps me.

 

I also hope that it is not genetic, if it is, I hope I didn't pass it onto my daughter.

 

Cancer is an ugly, ugly thing.
