First Impressions
This was taken during our first proper walk on Knoydart... We had decided to take a walk up to a waterfall we had seen in a guidebook 5KM away it said... the eldest didn't fancy it and stayed watching sky TV which was a treat as we only have Freeview at home... but it was a longer walk than we had estimated for many reasons... one being the abundance of wildlife we kept stopping to observe... all too far away for proper photography but just fantastic to see... notably Ravens, Golden Eagles and Red Dear... then a bridge had been washed away that added another 2KM to the walk...so before we knew it it was still a good 30 min to the waterfall...then I'd need time to photograph it and It was 1130am... we had told our eldest we would be back for 1pm for lunch. So close but so far... and we made the sensible decision to head back and even then we where 15min late! He never noticed... still glued to TV watching highlights of last years F1.
On the way back however as we headed over the hill we got this wonderful view which I had to take a few shots of... I just loved the mix of moor, forest, loch and mountain which just sums up the Knoydart landscape to me.
