OK.....for those of you that are calling him "Bob", my daughter's name for him (and every/any creature she has ever found!), here is the story of Dartanian.
As you all know and i have been repeatedly told, i am "not right!"....aka crazy! i LOVE to laugh....go to great lengths for laughter. i can see humor vividly in almost any situation!
When i got my new car it came with 3 mos of free XM/Sirius Satellite Radio....and i discovered Blue Collar Radio XM148. ( Verrrrrrrrrry dangerous for me to be driving with this on, as i tend to get laughing so hard i can barely breathe, let alone see where i am going!) On this station is a comedian (james p connelly) who tends to call on someone in the audience during his jokes....and on this one evening he asks for the man's name....which happens to be Augie. There is a pause before he replies to the man , telling him that will not do....and that tonight he is "Dartanian"! then throughout the performance he throws in little "asides", conversing with "Dartanian", as though he is a good friend. When i heard this i had a laughter meltdown!
I tried to find a utube version of this, to post here....but could not...however, if you type in his name, there are a couple of his stand up routines from a few years ago. He reminds me of Steve Martin.
Since i plan on conversing with this little critter while i have my morning tea, i thought that the PERFECT name for him would be Dartanian! Voila!
NOW....Dartanian (shown here looking for the winning guess of the dried flower contest) was a bit disappointed when i told him that there was no winning guess. He informed me that i made the contest too hard....and that i should give up and just tell you all what it was....................so, (insert drum roll here!) it was an orchid!
i will think up a new contest for those of you just dying for a picture from me to call your own...LOL! i will try to make it less difficult, so that i actually get to fulfill my side of the bargain and print something up and send it to the winner!
Thanks for trying...new contest will be when i get back from the wedding!
