Atlas V - Final Mission
A United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket lifted off on 2022-11-10 at 0149 PST from SLC-3 at Vandenberg Space Force Base. Carrying the Joint Polar Satellite System-2 mission for NOAA and NASA and NASA’s Low-Earth Orbit Flight Test of an Inflatable Decelerator (LOFTID). It was clear enough to see the separation of the first stage and firing of the second stage.
This was the last use of the Atlas V Rocket. The first Atlas rocket was launched from SLC-3 on 1958.
