Interesting factoid about the Northern Snowy Owl...
They "Pant" like a Dog when it's considered too hot for them. Just like a dog, to regulate there body temperature they have to pant in order to cool their body's down!!
Never mind it was an unseasonable -5 celius (23 fahrenheit) which is warm for us around now, when I took this shot.
But for this Owl it's the equivalent of +30's c (86 F) in the tropics... He was uncomfortably HOT to say the least!!! Poor thing :(
