Single Exposure Nighttime HDR
captainkimo.com/single-exposure-nighttime-hdr
I wanted to play around with some nighttime HDR, but with a single exposure, just to see how it would come out. This image was tone mapped from a single RAW file. Nighttime photos don't really take full advantage of HDR, mainly because everything is usually evenly lit. However shots at night in a city full of lights, is a different story. That's because there's more dynamic range than something like this photo here. I'm still not sure if I like it. I'll do some more testing and even try multiple expsoure to see if it makes any difference. But from what I've expierenced, so far, nighttime photos are simply better off with standard photography.
