Total added height is about five inches (8'11" clearance now), and the roof vent opens 40 degrees, with the added benefit of no more rain coming in when I forget to close it. You can see the small gap between the front frame and the back one - this is necessary to allow room for the back frame to pivot up. It's hinged with a 2" tab that extends forward past the front edge of the middle solar panel that's drilled and bolted to a tab extending upward from the front support.
