Another peaceful protest in Scottsdale, AZ, but it certainly wouldn't end that way.
There had been some chatter via Internet indy media sites saying that an individual who was protesting a Photo Radar Van was arrested by Scottsdale PD and charged with "Obstruction of Justice" and "Refusing Order by police officer to provide ID." There was also mention that said individual was roughed up while in custody. Allegedly, an officer who was wearing boots chose to stomp on the bare foot of the individual to encourage compliance.
City Hall can play rough when someone screws with their money, and the Scameras make money! Cops may answer to the Chief of Police, but the Chief answers to the Mayor. Thinking that the City of Scottsdale was sick of these rabble rousers, I chose to be the variable, and take up a position away from the action. People behave differently when they think there are no cameras around.
