Cambridge artist Natalia Davey's portrait entitled "ABD" at the recent Cambridge Drawing Society exhibition at the Guildhall. I can SEE why it was voted "Favourite Picture 2008". It's simply amazing!
Natalia Davey (Nee Tolpekina) is a famous Russian artist but now lives in Cambridge: www.vip-portrait.co.uk/page4.htm (where you can see a full version of this work in her "portrait gallery"). I didn't discover you were not allowed to take photos at the exhibition until I reached the exit door:-) I did tell the organisers but they smiled and thanked me for owning up!
