I did try the crumpled foil backdrop. I put my pine cone on a glass sheet from a picture frame as well to catch a reflection and then I used the flashlight from my phone to shine on the foil. It seemed to work well.

I am so glad I am in the MM group. I love learning new things, especially when it involves boosting bokeh. Hehe
