Jeremy Tordjman

It might be based on his journey through the African lands, passing Morocco to Comoro Islands in his childhood, it could be from his passion in exploring different music sides from rock, blues, funk to variety of jazz, or it might came naturally as a gift from God, but what the Frenchman Jeremy Tordjman gives is very different than what we all know as traditional jazz. Not wanting to make us confuse, he describes his music as “Fuzzy Jazz Groove”, a straight explanation of the sound you will hear during his play. For ASEAN Jazz Festival 2012 this distinctively unique guitarist will bring the Jeremy Tordjman Group consisting of multi-national members including Barry Likumahuwa (INA) and Erik Hargrove (USA). With all the adventure and valuable real life experiences, he can do so many musical styles in his compositions. Let’s say for example his Jeremy Tordjman Project which mixes jazz fusion and world music in one package. What’s best from him is the creativity in making up something new. He’s never scared to explore wide, but still he cares about serving the harmonies neatly with his catchy guitar phrases
