Double Sears Tool Chest in Cutting Room
Okay, these two Craftsman tool chests that run parallel to my Cutting Table have to be my favorite storage solution of all time. DH Keith had the idea to purchase them, and he made a wooden top that slips down over the top surface of both tool chests.
I can stand at my Cutting Table, drawing a pattern or fitting a pattern, and less than 2 feet behind me - is a plethora of tools and notions needed for the job. The set up also makes it easy to put away each tool or notion, immediately after its use. Since I'm not naturally a highly neat and organized person, these tool chests help me maintain my sanity. (Some photos of individual drawers are ahead.)
These tool chests are extremely close to my iron, located on the upper edge of my Cutting Table, and also hold all my ironing aids. (Close up photo coming up soon.)
Behind the tool chests, I store (on their vertical edges) my larger cutting boards, and can whip them out onto the Cutting Table in seconds flat.
