Raisting
Raisting, at the southern end of the Ammersee lake in Bavaria (Germany), is an earth station for satellite communications with huge parabolic dishes.
The Raisting Earth Station Complex is now one of the three largest teleport facilities worldwide and has 19 antennas and 120,000 square feet of data center facilities. The large antenna complex includes two 32m, two 28.5m, one 18m, one 15m, one 13m, seven 11m and 4 other sizes antennas to operate services in all satellite bands.
Deutsche Telekom sold the remaining facilities in Raisting to EMC (Emerging Markets Communications) in January 2006.
