The Tower And The Dovecot

This is the view of the tower at Sissinghurst Castle, taken from the orchard in June. Sissinghurst never was a true castle. It was a Tudor manor house. It was called a castle by French prisoners of war who were held here, in terrible conditions, during the mid-18th century.
