003 - January 3 2013 –„Star Singers“ in the Pub!
Normally we bring our money into the pub, but here the landlord himself is paying! You ask why? Well, here’s an ancient Austrian tradition, every year in the days before Epiphanie, 6th of January: boys and girls going from house to house, (they are coming even even into the pubs!) singing songs, spreading the news of Jesus' birth and sharing blessings and a message of peace for the coming year. At the same time, the so-called "Star Singers" also collect charitable contributions for people in Third World countries. Star singing extends back to the 16th century, when it was a custom among pupils and students.
