Don't be scared...
Ever think about death, your death?
I don't tend to dwell on it but it's coming, someday. I'm not a religious man so I don't lean towards the theory that there is better place for me out there. When I'm done I'm done...
I do think we live on however, live on through the memory of others. Once our loved ones pass, the photographs and videos lost, we are then truly gone. When I walk through an old cemetery and see the little plots with old grave markers I wonder if there is anyone around that remembers these people, knows their story.
When the kids are old enough I plan on sharing everything I know about my family with them. I'll show them the family history, the photographs, tell them the things I've seen, been through. Hopefully they turn around and pass that on, share it with generations that haven't come yet.
What will be your legacy?
I was playing some more with the process I used in yesterday's photo. With my self imposed ban on using other peoples textures I had to come up with ways to get the look I wanted in Photoshop. This is an older photo, an outtake from this shot.
Strobist: AB400 1/8 bare left, AB400 full through umbrella above table to right.
