And then we have the dome......

Gorilla glue WAS used and has started melting the dome. Pretty gross! What does one do for this? (as I have nor will EVER use it and have never seen it used on a doll before) Does it all need to be sanded/chipped/scraped off? Or has it stopped reacting because it is set/dried? Please advise. Thanks!
