traps II
Located within the Heritage Park at Port Kembla, these tank traps date back to WWII, where they were scattered along the coast in and around Port Kembla to protect the harbour from invasion by the Japanese. This area was deemed a possible point of access for the foreign troops after the capture of Singapore, as it was close to the city of Wollongong and our industrial centres located in Port Kembla.
