Dockside Beauty
Somewhereville's Sadie Brineheart, proprietor of the The Rusty Anchor Inn, boarding house for lost sailors is seen sipping tea on the wharf waiting for her lover Salty McGoggles to return from his latest voyage. She's been waiting for 40 years and still wonders if he feels more fondly for her than his barrel of rum. Poor creature, unbeknownst to her, Salty did return — years ago. But in a cruel Somewhereville twist of fate, he landed at a different dock on a foggy evening, wandered up the coast in a rum-induced haze, and ended up living as “Old Mac the Lighthouse Keeper,” never knowing Sadie was still waiting just down the shore.
