Rugged Sea
A few years ago Marg and I booked ourselves on what was supposed to be a seven day Alaskan cruise that debarked from Vancouver. The second night while leaving Ketchikan, one of the engines failed and that was the end of the cruise. The cruise line was thrown into a panic having to get 3000 people home safely from a small Alaskan town with the infrastructure of a small Midwestern town. The ship was supposedly a state-of-the-art liner. So much for that. We would have been better off sailing on Lord Nelson's flagship, the Victory. The only risk would have been smashing into a rock and sinking.
