Pelican Flyway (HSS)

There was an abundance of Pelicans at Ano Nuevo Preserve on this foggy summer morning. The Pelican is one of my favorite birds. To me there is not a more breathtaking sight than watching them skim over the tops of the water, dipping their wings precariously close to the breaking waves, yet never touching them. I am always amazed at the precision that exists in the natural world.
