A House in Humbug (HFF)

This pretty little autumn shot was taken in the town of North Bloomfield, California. At one time the town went by the name of Humbug. It's hard to see why, until you realize that Humbug was a town full of crusty miners that worked until exhausted or dead--whichever came first. It would be pretty easy to think of your town as a humbug under those circumstances. But, on this day, there were no hard working, exhausted or dead miners about--only the squirrels and the jays, and they seemed pretty happy about things.

Happy Fence Friday everyone
