Walking with a pair of Border Collies gives one a feeling of superpowers--like Zeus, able to hurl fire from the heavens. Shayna Mae and Chloe streak like an electric current when I flip the switch. Joggers eye me warily. But these two are (fundamentally) under voice command, and it's a joy beachcombing with them--even though they're herding seagulls instead of sheep.
They're both "sisters" and rivals. Put two Border Collies together, and they're both trying to pull rank and be top dog. Shayna is younger and faster, but Chloe is stronger and meaner. It takes some negotiating to get them both into the cab of the truck under a flag of truce. But once they start running together, those big doggie smiles spread across their faces, and they're a team, and they love it. I love it, too. Voodoo Child
