Boz Scaggs--Slow Dancer

I had a bunch of Boz Scaggs music in my car back in the 70s--copied to cassettes from friend's albums. While Boz performed from the mid-60s to the present day, that stretch in the early 70s was saturated with his Blue-eyed soul, jazz/rock urban smooth sound. "Silk Degrees, Lido Shuffle, Slow Dancer, JoJo, What do you want the girl to do?"--so much good music. Like Burt Bacharach from the 60s, it's music with a sophistication that always seems as fresh as tomorrow, even though it's decades old.

It was one style of music that both my first wife and I could agree on--probably why it left it's mark on that era for me. Boz got played alot. As I look across the musical landscape, he left a bigger footprint than his sales or discography might indicate. A check online shows that he's still touring during the summers--if I happen to find myself in Sparks, Nevada, I the middle of the summer, I hope I can take in another (air conditioned) show.
